Gulf Breeze Church of Christ

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and Our Sole authority in what we do as Christians. We observe the Lord’s Supper on the first day of the week and we also have Acappella singing, prayer, the teaching and preaching of God’s Word and the giving of our means. Jesus said that the two greatest commands are: And he said to him, “You shall Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment.  And a Second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”  (Matthew 22: 37-39 ESV)  As Christians, we should strive to live our lives in a way that reflects these commandments.

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?

Hear the Gospel – And after there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. (Acts 15:7 ESV)

Believe the Gospel –15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. (Mark 16:15-16 ESV)

Repent of sins – The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. (Acts 17:30 ESV)

Confess Jesus is Lord –  because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. (Romans 10:9-10)

Be baptized for the remission of sins – 38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38 ESV)

Live a faithful Christian life until death – 58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. (1Cor 15:58 ESV)
